I've been catching myself staying up late at nights spending my time on Pinterest...whoops! I'm so addicted to it! I feel like at any moment something amazing might come up but if I exit now I might miss it by one scroll! Do you know what I mean?

Anyways...here are some things I've found on Pinterest lately that I completely in love with! Most of them are hairstyles...can anyone say #longhairprobs? I'm always on the hunt for finding new things to do with my hair and if there is some hairstyle you guys know of that's not on this list I'd love to know!

Simplicity

(photos on my Flickr)

Everything's been super hectic lately and it's only the second week of school! Today's the first time in a while that I've been able to truly relax. It's also the first Saturday that I didn't have to wake up early to do something...but of course I still did...I'm not really good at sleeping in haha...I guess I'm just an early bird and you know what they say about early birds!

So this morning I decided to fill my mind with nothing but happy things. I grabbed a cup of coffee, a camera set on self timer and went out to our outdoor patio set to enjoy my surroundings. Thank goodness for self timers! The last photo is just a collection of some things that make me happy :) I'm planning on doing a D.I.Y. today that'll I'll share with you all on a later date!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Workin' at the Car Wash!

Did anyone start singing the song in your head? I know I did haha! I was also singing it all of Saturday when I spent the day working at the Ambassadors Car Wash fundraiser! The day was filled with a lot of singing, dancing, and water fights...tons and tons of water fights! It started at 9a.m. and went til 4p.m. It was a long but fun day and we ended up raising over $4,000! I did end up getting a little sun burnt but oh well! It was all worth it :)

What did you guys do this weekend? Hope it was great!
And I hope you guys have a great week :)

Happy weekend! It's the first of my Junior year :D This week has been so amazing! It's crazy to think how close I'm getting to college! My classes have been great so far (besides U.S. History...I can't seem to focus during that class haha) Right off the bat I've been assigned homework in pretty much every class I'm in...nothing says welcome back to school like a bunch of work...oh well...but tonight we have our first home football game! Yay school spirit! It's going to be awesome :)

On another note: this year I'm taking film photography for the first which mean I now have access to develop film in a dark room! I'm really excited about this class! I'm also getting a new camera which I'm excited to introduce to you guys once it comes into the mail! Yay ebay! ...i'm going to turn into such a collector haha :) nothing wrong with collecting thought, right?

Have a happy weekend everyone!

My junior year of high school has officially begun! Today was my first day back to school and let me just tell you, it when by so fast! Things to Look Forward to...

This Wednesday I start my junior year of high-school! As much as I love summer I'm still extremely excited to go back to school! Junior year is going to be filled with so many new things for me and I just can't wait for it to get started!

Starting a new school year I always feel like I'm starting it as a new person or at least a better person than the last. So this year I've set a goal for myself: To only look forward and not to be bound to the past. So with that in mind here are 5 things I'm looking forward to this year:

  1. Being in my school's top show choir, Ambassadors
  2. Looking for colleges to apply to
  3. Taking my first photography and photojournalism class rather than teaching myself
  4. Hopefully start getting paid to do photo shoots
  5. Bringing this blog to new levels :)
Hope you all have had a great day!!

The Saving Game

When you're a teenager with big dreams but no job, saving money is something that becomes really important to you. As juvenile as collection coins sounds it's actually very helpful. It's crazy how much money can accumulate in just a month even if it is only coins! I've been saving literally every cent and extra dollars I get and splitting them into three sections: Give, Spend and Travel.

'Give' : at the of each month whatever money I've saved will go to fundraisers and charities.
'Spend' : whatever money I save up will be mine to spend on hang outs, clothes, and ect.
'Travel' : this is what I'm calling the 'untouchable money' which will never be touched until I use it to travel :)

So that's how I'm playing the saving game! I'm hoping I don't end up cheating and stealing coins from myself haha! Do all of you save your money in a certain way? And has it been helpful?

Hope you all have had a great day!!

Let the Boot Camp Begin

I'm writing this post while I'm massaging my throbbing feet haha! As many of you know I started my competition show choir boot camp today! It was a complete success! We learned new songs and started choreography for our fall show! Woke up at 7:30am for the first time this summer and had a 9-4 practice! At the end of the day my feet were killing me but I'm still in the mood to dance! Also, every night we're having fun parties at different houses for more bonding time which is always fun! The greatness can only rise this week :)
Hope you all have a great day!!

Wanderlust

I feel like the more I grow up the stronger my desire to travel grows. Freud (if my memory from psych class is correct) said that the first 5-6 years of a child's life is the most crucial to shaping their personality. Growing up my family moved around a lot and we didn't stay in one town until I turned 10. You'd think from all that moving around I would want to stay in one place when I'm older because I'm tired of change...it's actually the complete opposite! I'm fascinated with the idea of traveling around the world and discovering new places, learning new things, and meeting new people along the way.
Maybe it's because my cousins live in places on the other side of the world or because my dad get's to travel a lot for work to different countries or maybe it's the curious photojournalist in me wanting to document new experiences. I'm determined to travel the world...or at least most of it...one day whether it's for a job, documenting and publishing everything I do or if it's for pleasure taking trips and jotting things down for fun. As corny as it sounds I'm starting to save up! I'm keeping every coin I get...it'll start off small but hopefully it'll grow. Saving up may help out with payments eventually or maybe it won't even make a dent...but it's kind of like the fuel to my fire, keeping me going with my dream and reminding me not to give up on it. I'm pretty sure after years of saving it'll grow and I'll have a good amount to use for something useful.
Well, that's my little ramble for the day :) Do you guys have any dreams you're excited to make reality?
Hope you all have a great day!
