Everyone Has a Secret to Share

Have any of you heard of the books "Post Secret"? I rediscovered them in my room while I was organizing some things and I fell in love with them all over again. If you don't know what these books are, they're basically a collection of secrets sent in to this guy, Frank Warren, who puts it into this book. It's amazing how many things are in these books that make my heart break and some that are more funny. But all of these are all so inspiring. The strength people have to send in these post cards with their secrets on them is something I would freak out about! They're amazing books and if you ever get the chance you should go buy them or even just peruse them :)

Here are some of my favorite secrets:

Would you ever send in your secret?
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Love is a Four Letter Word: Jason Mraz Concert

It happened! Last night (9/14/12) my brothers and I got to see Christina Perri and Jason Mraz live! It was so amazing! Just the fact that I got to see Jason Mraz perform was so surreal! I've been listening to his music since I was so little and he's still amazing! If this tour ever comes to a place close to you you can't miss it! Also, I think I've found a new love for Christina Perri! Her music was so amazing!

I'm so happy I got to see this concert! And luckily I have two more this month! Next Sunday I get to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros then the Sunday after that I will get to see the Avett Brothers! So this will be one exciting month for me!

Are you guys doing anything exciting this month?
Hope all of you have a great weekend!

A Little Picnic

Since my family's moved to our new house I've been wanting to host a cute little pitch in picnic party (inspired by Kinfolk) in our backyard! And finally it's happened! My brothers and I put up tables in the middle of our backyard, surrounded it by random chairs and a makeshift bench, hung lights in the trees, and set up the bonfire!

It turned out so successfully and beautifully! Everything looked so adorable with everyone drinking out of mason jars and passing the food to each other and the lights in the trees! I gotta have these more often haha :) The night before I made ice cubes with blueberries in them and it turned out perfect! And during the party we made s'mores with reese's cups and it was so delicious! Over all it was a perfect night!

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend!

DIY: Animal Face

Hey everyone! The other day my friend and I decided to have a little DIY day with bleach! I seriously love doing these fun DIYs with bleach! They're super easy and as long as you know what you're doing you can easily create something fun!

For the longest time I've wanted to make a crop top shirt with a cat face on it...I don't know why haha I just love cats and think they're adorable! My shirt didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it (actually not at all) because the bleach spread more than I expected but it still turned out pretty cool and abstract! In the end I feel like it looks more like a bunny rather than a kitty but oh well haha I just call it a happy mistake!

I'm hosting a party at my new house tomorrow and I'm so excited to share it with you all!
Have a great weekend everyone!
P.S. I'm falling behind on responding to you all but I will by the weekend I promise!!!

End Of August Buys

What I Bought:
Panda Shirt - Urban Outfitters - $14.99 (Sale)
Floral Bandeau - Urban Outfitters - $14.00
Polka Dotted Skirt - Goodwill - $4.29

Remember when I talked about my version of the saving game? Well my first month is up! I got a little allowance from my parents, grabbed what was in my spend compartment and got some pretty nifty buys!

For a while now I've been wanting this panda shirt, even before it was on sale, sooooo now that it's on sale I couldn't resist buying it! Also, I've never had a bandeau before and a lot of my shirts are sheer so I thought it was the perfect time to buy one! And it's floral which I love! The polka dotted skirt is my newest project re-make project! I'm thinking about keeping the length, I just have to the waist to make it fit! I'm so excited to wear it but I'm not completely sure what to pair it with just yet :)

Have you guys gotten anything new recently?
Have a wonderful day!

Rag Curls: Hair Tutorial

photos taken on my phone...sorry for the bad quality and how tired and crazed I look :) :P
Before you sleep! (can't you tell how tired I look? haha)
Take a shower or dampen your hair. Then take a rag, or a piece of cloth, and roll a section of hair from bottom to top, but not super tight! Tie the rag under the curl to secure it and repeat.

Sleep on the curls...some may loosen over night, it's okay.
Untie the ties and gently pull on one of the sides or the cloth (you can unroll it but I feel like it didn't give as curly of an effect) Brush it through with your fingers relaxing some of the extremely curly curls.
Throughout the day the curls will relax more and look more natural like the photos above (taken in second period haha)

Hope you guys enjoyed my quick little hair tutorial! I'll probably re-do this tutorial and actually show the how better...I did this to my hair last week and I thought might as well make it into a blog post! This was my first time doing rag curls and I really liked the outcome! Oh how I wish I had curly hair! Sorry bout the quality of the photos...it was taken with my phone plus school lighting isn't the greatest haha :)

Have a great day everyone!
