Rainy Day at the Farmer's Market

One thing I love about summer is the Farmer's Market! It's just so much fun to wake up on a Saturday morning,  walk around and smell the delicious goods and see what all people make! Surprisingly today was the first day I've gone all summer! ...And we only woke up in time to go for like the last 30 min...whoops...so we're planning on going back next week or so.
We didn't get time to take a lot of photos of the market since it was late in the time and it was raining. But! We decided to hide in a tunnel and take some photos for an OOTD! Yesterday I went to DSW and got two pairs of wedges! So of course I had to put together an outfit to wear them for you all!
What I Wore:
Bird Shirt with Cutout Back - Love Culture
Black High Low Skirt - H&M
Coral Wedges - DSW
And of course I had to get some photos of the photographer :) He may be camera shy but he can be a great model sometimes haha!
Just another summer day!
How have your summer days or which ever season you're in days have been?
Have a lovely weekend!

Happy Half Year to My Someone

Six months ago God blessed me by placing Cason into my life and ever since then I've been the happiest I've ever been and I'm so thankful everyday for getting to be his! It's truly crazy how one person can change your life so much. And not only did God give me a love but he gave me a best friend and someone to help me grow in my faith and Christianity along with helping him grow in his.

Yesterday for our half year anniversary, Cason came over and I made him breakfast! Homemade french toast! Turned out delicious! I really want to start cooking more and learning new recipes so if you know any easy yet delicious ones I'd love to know!
Afterwards we went headed to a roller skating rink! (sidenote: I'm determined to buy vintage roller skates for myself sometime in my life) I only...surprisingly...fell once in the two or so hours we were there! I was proud! We took fun photos and goofed around and just had a blast!
Ended the night by giving him my present, walking around the fashion mall then going to my house to play video games cuz you know we're just thee coolest couple you'll ever meet! It was a great way to spend the six months we've been together :) If any of you have seen the movie Like Crazy, my present for him was kind of like the one Anna gave to Jacob! I made him a little scrapbook/journal/diary that I've been working on since we started dating and then I also got him Dark Amber cologne from Bath and Body Works and it smells so amazing!
And that's how we celebrated our six month anniversary!
I hope you all have a fun day today!

Coffee Sugar Scrub: DIY

A couple months ago Cason and I went to a store called Bath Junkie where I bought an oil (a mix of Sensual and Woodstock, trust me it smells amazing!) and while we were there they let us sample some of the scrubs they had! We tried the coffee sugar scrub and it smelled absolutely amazing! And then I realized that I made a scrub last year and it would be really easy to make my own version of a coffee sugar scrub!

So yesterday, Cason and I decided that it was the day to make it! We had all the ingredients at my house and in no time we had a coffee sugar scrub! And here's how we did it:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of ground coffee
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons of oil (you can use any oil)
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 pack of hot chocolate powder
All you have to do is mix it all together and you have your coffee sugar scrub! And you can smell the deliciousness! It's seriously the easiest thing ever and you come out with a product that could last you a good while!
I'm definitely going to make different scented scrubs! I mean if they're this easy to make then why not right?!
If you guys try this out I'd love to know what you think of it!
Tomorrow is Cason's and my half year anniversary so I'll be a busy bee today finishing up his present which I'm so excited to share with you all once he gets it!
So I hope you all have a wonderful day!

The Lake House

So, I'm back from the weekend at the lake house! It was such a fun short trip! This was my second time going up there and the trips just keep getting better! Cason's grandparents lake house was a place where he grew up in and Cason always told me stories and memories of this place and being a person who moved around a lot as a kid I always find it amazing when people have all these memories from one place that they can still go back to and make more from! And I can see why he loves it there so much! You feel completely free and comfortable! The lake house was filled with so many adventures and I got to make some amazing memories of my own!
When the two of us woke up, Cason's grandpa taught us how to clean fish. I didn't try it but Cason did. It was the most precious thing watching grandfather teach grandson! And while he was cleaning the fish, me and his grandma went to catch more fish in the lake! Amazingly enough I caught 6! (more than Cason has there) I guess it's the Filipino in me coming out haha!
I also knee-boarded for the first time in my life and didn't fall! I actually can't believe I got up first try! Cason and I also tubed around the lake, didn't fall off, and I earned myself some battle scars! A bruised knee, scraped elbow, and bruised shoulder. But hey! That's how you know you had a good time right?!
I also shot a bbgun for the first time this weekend! And another amazing thing happened! We set up a can to shoot at and my first shot I hit it! They started joking around and calling me Annie Oakley! Later on Cason set up a little stack of cans and for a while was trying to knock them off the table. He got the top one off but the bottom two stayed. I then grabbed the gun reset the cans and on my third or fourth shot knocked off two cans! So on my first day shooting a bbgun I out shot my boyfriend! It was a proud moment haha!
Cason and I took a little paddle boat onto the lake and jumped in and swam around for a bit! The temperature was in the high 80s low 90s so the water felt amazing this weekend! It was nice to just sit on the pier, watch the lake in action and the boats just float there! Everything was so scenic!
We went to a horse show Saturday night and I'm not sure if anyone really knows this but I am obsessed with horses! I've never been able to ride one and I think that makes me love them even more because I'm just so anxious for the day to get to! After the horse show they brought the horses to the fence and we got to see them! They were so beautiful and graceful! Cason was laughing because apparently I looked really overly excited! I believe him though because I was having so much fun petting the horses and looking into their humongous eyes! They are definitely one of my favorite animals!
And of course, with the beautiful view what else are we gonna do but take a few photos on the pier! It was such a fun weekend and I can't wait to go back there again! It's one of those places that are needed sometimes and are so calm and therapeutic!
What are all of your favorite places to go to?
I hope you guys had a fun and adventurous weekend as well! And I hope you all have a wonderful start to this week!
